Endless World

Added by apolloeye 2010-05-27 12:37:35 in #technology

Some company should invent a sandbox game where the World is created on-the-fly and saved to the Hard disk, similar to this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzXS1R3VxJg&feature=related

Once a certain point is reached the World would wrap. This would allow for really massive levels different anytime and could lead to a whole personal universe made out of different Worlds.

Come on guys, you got the putting calories on the menu thing right. Now, let's try draping the calories across the sub in a geometrically satisfying pattern, the one that fulfills the design destiny intended by your sandwich scientists. Spurn not their legacy.

Paper Free Menus

Added by Apolloeye 2010-05-13 21:36:56 in #business

I am really fed up of takeaway menus coming through my door - they instantly get chucked in the bin and are a huge waste of paper.

I would prefer for menus to be sent via email so I can at least catalogue them for later use plus it saves paper!

Religion Impedes Progression

Added by Apolloeye 2010-05-13 21:36:56 in #religion

I feel that someone's idea of a structured religion is false. Religion in its essence was a pure faith people had, with a lot of legends and myths.

But those shouldn't be worshiped like we do today, they should be respected as guidelines someone tried to show to the people.

Most of humanity does not realise that and thus by staying behind the time, stuck in the stuck up religions we have come to today is what makes us slow down with our progress; because what we find moral Church might not, religion might not, so those opinions clash and it gets really ugly.

I don't support any religion today, I think we are all free to believe in what we want, and we don't necessarily have to fit it into some of the existing religions. It is virtually impossible to agree with everything in one of the existing religions - unless we are blind and have no attitude of our own.

Premium PSN

Added by Apolloeye 2010-05-13 21:20:32 in #technology

The Playstation network as seen on the Playstation 3 and the Playstation Portable is great - providing a free service to play online.

I feel however that Sony should create a premium service that uses a subscription model. The revenue from this could provide premium users with a premium set of tools such as cross-game chat, premium Internet TV and radio as well as exclusive content, Sony will benefit from a consistent income.

MP Cap

Added by Apolloeye 2010-05-13 21:20:32 in #politics

I feel to breed a higher calibre of MP in the UK government there should be an upper cap on MP salaries comparable to what teachers earn.

This will lead to people seeking the job because they actually want to do it rather than those lusting after money.

Fluidic Speed Bumps

Added by Apolloeye 2010-05-13 15:54:21 in #technology

The idea is quite simply. Create speed bumps that are filled with a viscose fluid. This way cars that are travelling the correct speed will be able to disperse the fluid without getting a bump. Cars travelling too fast will get a bump as the car will not be able to push the fluid away fast enough.

The system would need to employ some sort of reservoir system and ensure it is vandal-proof.
